Edited 1.16.24 to add: one good rain storm and this camera fried. Worthless now. Outdoor aye? I don't think so. I am 2 months past my return date so I guess I eat this one. Worked great, while it worked.

I absolutely love this camera, and the app! I own a couple other types/brand so I have some experience. This camera installed easily to my 5G signal, works very well viewing and capturing events on my phone. I am not pressured to buy cloud services and probably won't. I am quite satisfied with all the settings and options, and functions in the app without cloud. I had only one suggestion to the developer which has to do with the warning voice, which by the way you can record your own voice. By default it plays 5 times (if turned on) and that's a bit much, once or twice; or owner's choice would be better. But that is soooo minor. This is a great camera, and great app. Best advice, which IS in the install instructions, is when you first power up everything, place the camera and your phone (on your wifi network) near the router and they connect easy peasy. Then just explore the app. You will be pleased.

I have this on the back porch. It has held up well so far, about 3 months. It takes a pretty good quality picture, and the humanoid detection works very well. It is a very nice camera for the price range. Check the dimensions on it, as I had to get a new light fixture for the camera to fit. Luckily, my old fixture was in need of a change anyway. I could have used a light socket extender, but like I said, I wanted to change the fixture anyway.

Just wanted to inform you that if your power goes out, this camera can catch fire or explode from the lithium batteries getting overheated. Also the QR code is a scam from Korea to make money. I was charged $4.99 when I just bought this home security camera that I thought was worth it. But I experienced false alarms, it started smoking and caught fire, I’m very disappointed in this product. It’s not about the amount it cost but the principle of selling such a bad product to US consumers. My driveway light post was severely damaged from the fire, luckily I did not install it in my house at my foyer of anywhere in the house for that matter. I’m requesting for a refund and credit for the loss in my $5000 lamp post.

Was looking for a security camera. This was easy. And cheap for a starter. Plug it in. Download app. Go. I think the picture is very good. Picks up sounds—maybe too well. A bit hit and miss with picking up movement. And I had hoped it would follow movement. It does not do a good job at that—maybe it isn’t supposed to? It does move well when I control it from the app and I like that I can review alarms for sound and movement. Good value for the money but not sure if I will buy another. Remember when you screw it into the light fixture, you lose that light!

It was easy to set up and connect to the WiFi router. A great solution for monitoring the pets inside and front yard outside. We installed the sd card on the exterior unit for more storage. Be sure you order cameras that work with your WiFi these are 5G!
